Preparing a hydrosilylation catalyst, useful to prepare an organofunctional organosilicon compound, comprises reacting a platinum-containing hydrosilation catalyst with an alkyne compound and a hydrosilane-compound
Preparing a hydrosilylation catalyst comprises mixing platinum-containing hydrosilation catalyst with an alkyne compound (I) and hydrosilane compound (II); reacting the mixture; and subsequently removing the volatile components from the mixture. Preparing a hydrosilylation catalyst comprises mixing platinum-containing hydrosilation catalyst with an alkyne compound of formula (R 3CCR 3) (I) and hydrosilane compound of formula (H 4-a-bSi(R 2) a(Y 1) b) (II); reacting the mixture; and subsequently removing the volatile components from the mixture. R 3H or linear or branched 1-4C-alkyl; R 2linear, branched or cyclic 1-16C-alkyl or 6-30C-aryl; Y 1Cl, Br, CH 3O or C 2H 5O; and a, b : 0-3, provided that the sum of a and b is 1-3. Independent claims are included for: (1) platinum containing hydrosilylation catalyst obtained by the above process; and (2) the preparation of an organofunctional organosilicon compound comprising reacting a silicon compound containing at least one hydrosilane group with a compound (III) containing at least one aliphatic C=C double bond in the presence of the platinum containing hydrosilylation catalyst.
