The arrangement has a sealing element for formation of a sharpening sealing contact together with a sealing lip and comprising a cylindrical fastening element (17). A rolling bearing ring comprises a cylindrical surface for fastening the cylindrical fastening element and forms a rolling element raceway. The cylindrical surface is divided into two cylindrical surface parts (20, 21) by an annular groove (23) running in circumferential direction and formed in the rolling bearing ring. The cylindrical surface parts form a seat for the cylindrical fastening element. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a static seal for a rolling bearing.
