Gas multi-elements Penetration is a new surface hardening technology to improve the performance of the surface. In this paper, we focus on the study on the influence of multi-elements penetration on hardness of GCrlS bearing steel surface by C-N-O multi-elements penetrating treatment, and analyze the three elements, C, N and O in the surface with an EDX. Analysis of SEM images shows that there forms a penetrated layer 75 m or so in thickness over the surface, in which, 0-30 U m is the passivation layer, 30-60 m, the bright layer, and 60-75, the transition layer.
