The bulk heat exchanger apparatus is designed to stay in a conveying connection with a bulk supply line (17) for pneumatically conveying bulk materials. A bulk heat exchanger section (12) is provided adjacent to a feed section (18), and comprises a bulk-material feed channel. A bulk discharge section (19) is provided adjacent to the bulk heat exchanger section. The bulk discharge section stays in a conveying connection with a bulk material discharge line (20). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a heat exchanger system with a pneumatic conveying device; and (2) a method for operating a heat exchanger system.
