The unit (10) has a mechanical commutated drive motor (11) coupled with and arranged in housing (12) and driving a drive shaft (17), where angle position of the drive shaft is detected by an evaluation unit (20). The evaluation unit comprises a circuitry (26), which is arranged on a circuitry carrier (25) i.e. rectangular printed circuit board, to be directly connected and coupled with the housing. The circuitry carrier electrically controls the drive motor by a commutator, and the circuitry detects the angle position of the drive shaft from potential gradient i.e. voltage peak. An independent claim is also included for a comfort drive for use in a motor vehicle.
