The tool (1) has an intermediate mold portion (5) which is provided between the upper mold portion (3) and the lower mold portion (4). The intermediate mold portion on the side facing upper mold portion facing the top side comprises a third mold (5a), and the side facing lower mold portion facing the underside comprises a fourth mold (5b). The first mold (3a) and the third mold are adapted to cooperate to form a cavity (15) for producing a plastic component, and the second mold (4a) and fourth mold are adapted to cooperate to form a cavity (16) for producing plastic component.
