The operational safety-relevant electrical variable is realized as a quality of insulation of the electrical power system relative to the body or the mass of the vehicle. An electrical voltage source, particularly a battery cell or a chargeable battery (10) of the vehicle, where the battery is particularly an electric traction battery. An independent claim is included for a method for reliability testing of a vehicle.
