The torsional vibration damping device (1) has a flange (2) provided with a recess (3), and an absorber mass (4a,4b) that is connected with the flange. The absorber mass is displaced under centrifugal force relative to the flange. A distance element (6a) is firmly connected to the absorber material or is formed integrally with the absorber material. The distance element is partially arranged within the recess of the flange. A stopper damping element (9) is arranged between an edge area of the recess and an edge area of the distance element in radial direction (R).
