Method for receiving spectrally resolved two-dimensional image by Fourier transform spectroscopy, involves feeding light to interferometer and splitting light into two partial-beams
The method involves feeding light (12) to an interferometer (4) and splitting the light into two partial-beams (14a,14b). Optical path difference between the two partial-beams is changed and passed through an identical area, repeatedly. The light is detected by a two-dimensional array detector (5). Various subsets of detector elements are read out of the array detector during multiple traversing of the optical path difference between the two partial beams over the identical area. An independent claim is included for a Fourier transform spectrometer, particularly Fourier transform infrared spectrometer with an electronic control device.
