The electric machine has a rotor (20) that is provided with a rotor shaft (27) on which pole core (22a) and claw pole (22,23) are located. The pole core and claw pole are integrally formed. The rotor shaft is interrupted in the region of pole core to reduce magnetic flux by formation of air gaps. The both sides of pole core are provided with receiving openings (28) at which shaft elements (27.1,27.2) of rotor shaft is inserted. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing electric machine.
