The ratchet attachment has a sleeve-shaped housing (1) which are rotatably mounted with axially fixed carriers (2,3) having ratchet gearings (7,8). A drive ring (4) having a central aperture (16) is arranged between axially fixed carriers against the ratchet gearings. The spring mechanisms (5,6) are arranged against the fixed carriers. The fixed carriers are provided with receiving openings (11,12) for inserting the fastening tool (13). The diameter of central aperture is smaller than the diameter of receiving openings of the fixed carriers.
