The present invention relates to nanoparticles, characterized bya) a core of an inorganic material andb) an envelope of the left and the dendritic poly glycerol sulfate,wherein the poly glycerol sulfate from repeating glycerol - units of the formula (ro - ch₂)₂Ch - or, where r = h, or further glycerol - units, one or of a plurality of oh - groups of the glycerol - units by sulfate - groups of the formula - oso₃X, wherein x is h, an alkali metal atom, such as li, na or k, or an ammonium ion are replaced,and wherein the linker poly glycerol sulfate and the core connects to one another.The nanoparticles are suitable for medical applications, for example for the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases.
