A traction mechanism (6) is provided for increasing an inclination angle of the seat surface of seat portion during vehicle accident. A safety belt (10) is directly or indirectly connected to the traction mechanism. The safety belt is actuated or operated by the traction mechanism during vehicle accident. An independent claim is included for a method for increasing inclination angle of vehicle seat.
