The method involves bending metal sheets (4) of predetermined meters long to a minimum fifty centimeters wide target radius, such that the round bending takes place on a bender (1) by multiple edges with a circular die (2). A protective strip (5) made of PTFE adhesive film is formed on template (3) of bender. The ratio between size of punch radius (r) of circular die in the contact region to sheet and target radius is smaller than 0.05.
