Valve train for internal combustion engine, has camshaft whose surface is provided with porous zone at region of bearing point of cam shaft in direction of bearing shell that is provided with open pores
The train (1) has a cam shaft (2) provided with a bearing point (9) associated with a bearing shell (8) of a slide bearing (7). A surface (10) of the camshaft is provided with a porous zone at a region of the bearing point in a direction of the bearing shell that is provided with open pores. A part of the porous zone is formed by nitriding surface layer. A lubricant supply system of a combustion engine is supplied through the pores. A valve operating cam (5) is provided with the cam shaft in an axial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the cam shaft. The valve actuating cam is made of roller and ball bearing steel. The slide bearings are hydrodynamic slide bearings or hydrostatic slide bearings. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a valve train.
