The device comprises a tool having two tool portions that are relatively moved to each other to open and close of the tool. The tool effective areas of the tool portions are directly contacted with the coated sheet metal material. A lubricant application unit is provided for applying (Va) the lubricant on one of the tool effective areas or for pressing (VI) a lubricant film between the coated sheet metal material and tool effective area, when the tool is opened. The coated sheet metal material is coated with anti-corrosive coating of zinc or aluminum.
