The system has a drive unit (20) connected with branch gear boxes (26, 28) in a drive train (16) over a central transmission. A torque limiter is arranged between the drive unit and the branch gear boxes. The drive unit is arranged at a distance in a half wing from a wing root such that the maximum rotational loads arising at elements of the drive train are reduced. The drive unit in the drive train is arranged between an inner landing flap (12) and an outer landing flap (14), and/or centrally arranged in the drive train of a slat.
