The method involves increasing pressure in a section (8) of a waste heat utilization circuit (AK) at predeterminable intervals for predeterminable time period. The section of the waste heat utilization circuit is arranged in a flow direction between a capacitor (7) and a heat exchanger arrangement (5) i.e. vaporizer, particularly between the capacitor and a conveyer unit (4). A degassing device (3) is arranged in the circuit. The increase of pressure is performed in an operating mode of the waste heat utilization circuit with reduced heat input. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out a method for operating a waste heat utilization circuit.
