The invention particularly relates to an integrated circuit module (10c). The module has a layer structure in which ICs and electrodes (17) are arranged in electrical connection with a layer (16) of the layer structure. The module further includes one or more fluid circuit sections (19), each for receiving a respective electrolyte solution (or two different solutions, see the double-current redox mode described below). Each solution used has soluble electroactive species. A liquid section is designed to receive an electrolyte solution and allow it to contact appropriate electrodes to power the ICs during operation. Since electrodes are integrated into the module, electrical power can be brought close to the ICs, thereby increasing the efficiency of the power supply. Finally, since a liquid is used in-situ, appropriate heat dissipation may be considered, it being understood that electric power supply and heat dissipation correspond to each other.
