The sound transducer (1) has a magnet system (4) that is provided with magnets (5,6) and two pole plates. A membrane portion (3) is arranged in an air gap between the pole plates along the magnetic field. The membrane portion is provided with a strip conductor and meander-shaped air pockets for sound generation. A fan is provided for producing cooling air for cooling the membrane portion. An air inlet aperture and an air outlet aperture are provided in the pole plates. A damming material portion is arranged in the pole plates.
