The steam generator system (1) has a boiler with a boiler hopper (3), which is provided between a boiler combustion chamber (2) and a post-combustion chamber (6). The boiler hopper is adapted to supply solid particles from the combustion boiler in the gravitational direction of the post-combustion chamber. The boiler hopper comprises a lower outlet opening (5) for discharge of the solid particles from the boiler hopper. A pad (10) for closing the outlet opening is provided in the boiler hopper, which is inflatable outside the boiler combustion chamber and the boiler hopper. An independent claim is included for a method for closing an outlet opening of a boiler hopper provided between the combustion chamber of a boiler and a post-combustion chamber of a steam generator system.
