The vehicle has a detection device (4) for detecting ambient light ratios and comprising a housing (5) and light sensors (8, 9) arranged in the housing. A part of the housing is designed as a mounting part for installation into a surface of an instrument panel of the vehicle. The housing has a cover (7), where the sensors are arranged below the cover. The cover has transparent light incidence surfaces (13, 14) for the respective sensors. An optical element i.e. light conductor, is attached to one of the sensors, and forms a detection area of the sensor in connection with one of the surfaces.
