Separating device (1) comprises at least one receiving device (5) designed in the form at least one suction hose for receiving the contaminated water from the outside into the separation device, a metering device (6) for adding at least one cleaning substance (7), preferably at least one precipitating- or flocculating agent to the contaminated water, and at least one pretreatment device (9) for mechanically separating the contaminants from the contaminated water, where the pretreatment device is connected upstream of the metering device. INDEPENDENT CLAIM are also included for: (1) a vehicle, preferably lorry comprising at least one above mentioned separating device; and (2) separating the contaminants from the contaminated water, comprising introducing the contaminated water from the outside into the separating device by at least one receiving device designed in the form at least one suction hose, and adding at least one cleaning substance, preferably at least one precipitating- or flocculating agent to the contaminated water via at least one metering device, where the contaminants are mechanically separated from the contaminants water via at least one pretreatment device before the addition of the cleaning substance.
