The vehicle axle (1) has two opposed wheels (2), each connected and fixed to a wheel carrier (3), and a stabilizer (4) mounted with connecting rods (5) which act at least indirectly on the wheel carrier. The stabilizer has a torsion spring (4a) having two terminal legs (4b) respectively connecting one of the connecting rods with the torsion spring. Two tubular main springs (6) and sections of torsion spring are non-rotatably connected to one of the terminal legs and are rotationally fixed to the vehicle chassis (7) or a subframe.
