The method involves providing a two-piece material-deforming tool in a press with an upper sealable mold cavity (2) in a sealed pressure tank (6) and a lower mold cavity in a tool of a metal sheet shaping press. A metal sheet (4) is provided into the material-deforming tool and held on a lower material-deforming tool. The upper mold cavity is sealed, and the press is closed under a gas pressure structure in the upper mold cavity for reshaping the metal sheet by gas pressure and upper material-deforming tool in a pressing stroke. The reshaped metal sheet is removed. An independent claim is also included for a metal sheet reshaping device.
