Made from a sheet-metal plate (1), a tube (2) is placed in a high-pressure tool for reshaping an inside with its inner contour having a slotted or grooved recess. The high-pressure tool for reshaping an inside is closed and a pressurized substance is introduced into the inside of the tube, which is expanded and pressed into the recess. The tube's material is separated off on both sides of a tube section reshaped by the recess. An independent claim is also included for a ring seal.
