The product has an active coating comprising pharmaceutical agent e.g. paclitaxel or acetylsalicylic acid, and ionic liquid, where the product is heated following the implantation of the product at a target tissue. The ionic liquid is selected from a group consisting of cetylpyridinium salicylate, choline-bis (trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide, 1-butyl-2,3-dimethylimidazoliumtetrafluoroborate and 1-ethyl 3-methylimidazolium nitrate. The active coating comprises less amounts of sodium chloride.
