The device (1) is provided with a pressure limiting valve that is provided between a highly prioritized primary pressure circuit (PK) and a less prioritized secondary pressure circuit (SK) for limiting the pressure (p-PK) of the primary pressure circuit. The secondary pressure circuit is switched by the pressure limiting valve (4). A pressure feedback (5) is provided for operation condition dependent setting of the output of the variable pump (2). The adjusting device (3) is pressurized in the area of effective surfaces with the pressure of the primary pressure circuit and with the pressure (p-SK) of the secondary pressure circuit by the pressure feedback. The variable pump is applied with adjusting force by the adjusting device when a saturation level of the secondary pressure circuit is arrived.
