For this purpose, a programming method is proposed, wherein at least two second data processing devices are programmed by a first data processing device. In the programming method, the first at least two second data processing devices each send a first authentication information to the first data processing device, from the first authentication information a second authentication information is respectively generated and transmitted to the at least two second data processing devices. After the second authentication information has been verified by the at least two second data processing devices, the at least two second data processing devices are programmed. It is provided that the at least two second authentication information from the first data processing device are transmitted jointly by a single transmission to the at least two second data processing devices.
