The support (1) has a housing (11) arranged in a base (10) i.e. wood log. The housing receives a cut foot of a tree (2) and a water reservoir (20). The water reservoir has a protuberance (24) forming a receptacle inserted in the housing of the base for the foot of the tree. Diameter (d1) of the protuberance is less than diameter (d2) of the housing. The reservoir has an upper part (21) comprising a conical wall (25) that is tilted in direction of the protuberance. The reservoir is made of plastic such as biodegradable and/or recycled plastic and/or biocompostable.
