The method involves measuring and recording data relating to an amount of electrical energy produced by a photovoltaic device at a regular time interval. A current state of an electrical energy production site (2) is determined as a series of values of quantity of electrical energy produced. An amount of energy to be produced at future time is estimated. A set of data items is provided, where each data item identifies a neighborhood past situation for production of the electrical energy. An independent claim is also included for a system for providing a quantity of electrical energy produced by photovoltaic equipment installed at a site.
