The instrument (1) has a handle mounted on a connecting plate (2) that is connected to a drive chain movable along a main axis. The handle is connected to the connecting plate by an elastically deformable portion (5). A displacement detecting device is utilized for detecting a displacement of the handle relative to the connecting plate according to a secondary axis that is parallel to the main axis. The detection device includes a differential amplifier for amplifying signals relating to the displacement of the handle. An independent claim is also included for a control device.
