The part (1) has a half-part (3) comprising a joint plane (5) and a rib (7) of thermoplastic material adjacent to the plane. Another half-part (2) has a groove (6) adjacent to a joint plane (4) of the latter half part, where the part is formed by fitting the latter half-part into the former half-part at the planes. Walls of the groove are formed of thermoplastic material. The groove is engaged in the rib to form a cavity (8) into which a plastic binding material (9) is injected and cooled so as to form a connection between the half-parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a part delimiting an inner space.
