The sump (1) has an oil processing and/or distribution element e.g. oil processing filter (9), an oil cooler (7) of oil, a part of a engine oil distribution unit such as oil pipe (11), oil quality sensor and oil pressure sensor, for processing and/or distributing oil of an oil circuit for lubricating an engine. The processing and/or distribution element is placed on an external face/inner face of a wall forming the sump. Additional oil tanks are fixed to an underside of the sump through corresponding holes (5) formed in a bottom wall of the sump.
