The incinerator has a waste combustion unit (10), and a combustion fire place (11) including a burner (12). An adiabatic chamber (13) is utilized for maintenance of temperature of a set of combustion products. An evacuation circuit (100) is utilized for evacuation of smoke. A smoke treatment unit (40) is placed on the evacuation circuit. A heat recovery unit (20) is arranged between the waste combustion unit and the smoke treatment unit. A smoke recycling unit (30) reinjects 30 percent of smoke leaving the heat recovery unit into the combustion unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for incineration of waste.
