The present invention relates to alpha-amino gamma, delta-unsaturated acids of general formula (I). The present invention also provides a versatile method for the stereospecific synthesis of the compounds of formula (I), using the Wittig reaction. The present invention also relates to the intermediates of general formulas (II) and (III), as presented below, which are involved in the synthesis of compounds (I). The compounds of general formula (I) can be used as therapeutic substances, or as reagents or synthesis intermediates for fine chemistry.
