The installation (1) has a luminous projector (2) fixed interdependent of a self-supporting rail anchor (3) on a roof (T) of a building (B). The anchor has a carriage (4) for displacing the projector in translation on a guide rail (6). The projector is fixed on the carriage and integrally movable between a projection position and a maintenance position. The projector is positioned at a front end (6a) of the guide rail on an edge (RT) of the roof in the projection position. The projector is positioned in a rear end (6b) of the guide rail below the edge of the roof in the maintenance position.
