The method involves defining a group of rules for a cable (CB) to impose displacement following selected direction to pass from an initial configuration to a pre-defined final configuration and prohibit rotation around a core of the cable in a chosen point and for a sheath (G) to impose a selected translation and a selected on each of ends (EG1, EG2) of the sheath. The group of rules defined in a three-dimensional model is applied by finite elements representative of an assembly placed in the initial configuration so as to determine contact zones between the cable and the sheath. An independent claim is also included for a device for analyzing a cable/sheath assembly.
