The bearing unit (10) has a sealing unit (22) comprising a movable sealing element (26) maintained against a movable rotating ring (16RoT). The sealing element includes a movable functional interaction body (36) secured to a spacer (28) and an elastic sealing ring (34). The interaction body engages with a fixed functional interaction body (38) of a fixed sealing element (24) so as to form a functional clearance (44) to restrict a passage of lubricating material and outer material between the movable and fixed sealing elements.
