PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water retentive highly-functional paving body capable of suppressing the temperature rise of the paving body in a high temperature period of summer and preventing the scatter of aggregate even in the case of being used in a place where steering operation is frequently performed, and having water retentivity while maintaining a drainage clearance without adding special work to conventional paving work, and to provide a water retentive highly-functional paving material for forming such a highly-functional paving body, material for water retentive highly-functional pavement, and blocks for the water retentive highly-functional pavement.;SOLUTION: The water retentive highly-functional paving body is formed by hardening aggregate with a binding material, and the aggregate is blast furnace slag. The water retentive highly-functional paving material comprising the aggregate of blast furnace slag and the binding material can form the paving body. The material for the water retentive highly-functional pavement comprises the aggregate of blast furnace slag and the binding material, and becomes the paving material when a solvent such as water is added thereto.
