The catalyst has a layer (6) containing platinum and palladium, and another layer (7) containing platinum. A specific coating (11) is provided for storing nitrogen oxides, where a cell density of the catalyst is between 85 and 100 cells per square cm. An outer wall of thickness of between 45 microns and 96 microns is provided, where the former layer is placed upstream of the latter layer according to a flow direction (8) of exhaust fumes (2) inside an exhaust line (4) having a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust line.
