The method involves obtaining a molding element (1) having a core and a heel by machining a massive material, where the core and the heel are formed of a single machined massive part or two machined massive parts separately and connected together by a dismountable fixing unit. The molding element is designed to have two opposing faces (1a, 1b) having profiles corresponding to that of side faces (2a, 2b) of a prestressed concrete beam (2) to be produced, where a space (E) between the mold element and the beam corresponds to that between the side faces of the beam. An independent claim is also included for a molding bench.
