PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a torque capacity of a friction fastening device of an automatic transmission without changing the numbers of driven plates and drive plates.;SOLUTION: A friction fastening device 10 of the automatic transmission comprises: first and second members 11 and 12 to be fastened; a clutch pack 17 composed of a plurality of driven plates and drive plates which are alternately arranged; and a piston 18 and a holding member 19 which are disposed at one end side and the other end side of the clutch pack 17 in the axial direction. In the drive plates 14, friction materials are pasted on both faces of metal plates. A plurality of the drive plates 14 are engaged with the first member 11 to be fastened, a part of the plurality of driven plates 13 is engaged with the first member 11 to be fastened, and a remaining part of the plurality of driven plates 13 is engaged with the second member 12 to be fastened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
