PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable segments to be more reliably connected together even without applying a large insertion force.;SOLUTION: In a segment connection method, a male joint member 20 with an engaging protrusion 21b changeable to an expanded diameter state and a reduced diameter state is provided in one segment 1 of connecting object segments, and a female joint member 10 with an engaged recess 11b engageable by expansion of the diameter of the engaging protrusion 21b of the inserted male joint member 20 is provided in the other segment 1 of the connecting object segments. The male joint member 20 is inserted into the female joint member 10 to make the engaging protrusion 21b and the engaged recess 11b engage with each other, thus connecting both of the segments 1 with each other. The diameter of the engaging protrusion 21b is reduced in advance, and the insertion of the male joint member 20 into the female joint is performed while the reduced diameter state is kept.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
