PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on an operator for recognition work of commercial products having no data code applied thereto.SOLUTION: A commercial product recognition device includes an image interface, a memory, and a processor. The image interface captures an image of commercial products photographed by a camera. The memory stores candidates of a commercial product recognized from the image of the commercial products captured through the image interface. The processor tries to read commercial product recognition codes from the image of the commercial products captured through the image interface, and once reads the commercial product recognition codes, resets the candidates of the commercial product stored in the memory.
