PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor that can minimize wear of leakage prevention means installed in a floating plate.SOLUTION: A scroll compressor in one embodiment includes: a casing; a discharge cover fixed to inside of the casing for partitioning inside of the casing into a suction space S and a discharge space D; a main frame disposed to separate from the discharge cover; a turning scroll turning while supported on the main frame; a fixation scroll that is installed vertically movably relative to the turning scroll and forms a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber together with the turning scroll; a back pressure plate that is fixed to the fixation scroll on the lower side of the discharge cover and includes a space part having an opened upper part and communicating with the intermediate pressure chamber; and a floating plate that is movably coupled to the back pressure plate to seal the space part and forms a back pressure chamber BP.
