PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance by avoiding outputting a wrong decoding result while suppressing the number of times of decoding even if the number of errors in received data is large.;SOLUTION: A bit inversion position selection section 3 selects k bits of the lowest reliability and the next lowest p bits on the basis of reliability information about received data, and sets a pattern of a changing combination of 0 and 1 of the k, p bits in accordance with the number of decoding iterations. Processing of a decoding section 5 and an error detection section 6 is iterated as the pattern of the k bits is changed until the number of decoding iterations reaches 2^k and, after (2^k+1) is reached, the processing of the decoding section 5 and the error detection section 6 is iterated as the pattern of the p bits is changed with all the k bits inverted, and a decoding result with no errors detected is output from an output selection section 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
