PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately install apparatuses such as a level gauge in a liquefied gas tank, by accurately and easily forming an opening part of a complete round shape in a plan view, at a position separated from the vertical center line of a spherical tank in the vicinity of the apex of the tank.;SOLUTION: A punching device 25 for a level gauge of a liquefied gas carrier can punch an opening part 23 of a complete round shape in the plan view at a position separated from the vertical center line of a spherical tank in the vicinity of the apex of the tank, and comprises a base part 27, a plurality of expandable leg parts 28 for fixing this base part 27 to an upper part of an opening part punching position on the tank surface, a reference rotary shaft 30 pivotally supported to the base part 27 and vertically extending from the base part 27, a rotational driving part 31 installed in the base part 27 and rotatingly driving the reference rotary shaft 30 and a cutter holding part 32 installed on the reference rotary shaft 30, rotating around the reference rotary shaft 30, freely sliding a cutter 50 capable of cutting the tank in the vertical direction and adjustably holding a radial distance from the reference rotary shaft 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
