PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system, an office-side device and a customer premise-side device, enabling satisfactory communication between the office-side device and the customer premise-side device, with a reduced facility cost per customer premise-side device in the optical communication system.;SOLUTION: An optical communication system 401 includes an office-side device 101 and a plurality of customer premise-side devices 202 connected to the office-side device 101 through a branched optical fiber OPTF.
