PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool, in which the moving stroke of a work holding portion can be small in the case where the angle of a tool is changed with respect to a work.;SOLUTION: A machine tool comprises: a work holding portion for holding a work-piece W; and a cutting work mechanism 22 for performing a cutting work on the work-piece held by the work holding portion. The cutting work mechanism 22 has a support portion 28a of a horizontal upper face, and includes: a frame 23 arranged to have an open space E extended to at least one side of the support portion 28a; and a tool holder 7 so supported on the support portion 28a of the frame 23 as to be supported turnably along an arcuate locus K having a center O positioned in the open space E, and holding a tool T2 so that a cutting portion T2aa may protrude into the open space E.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
